As this year marks the centenary of the Great War we've teamed up with Fallas de Valencia 2015 to help you trace your ancestor's footsteps through the historic cities and former battlefields of Europe and to share your discoveries with others.

How to enter:
Entry: Do you have a family member who served in the armed forces and would you like to trace their footsteps?
For the chance to travel around Europe by rail and uncover their past, please write to us about your relative member and why you would like to find out more about their history? 
 
Entries should be no more than 250 words and should include:
i) who your relative was
ii) what you know about their experience, where they served and in which war?
iii) and why you would like to trace their footsteps?
 

Closing Date: Entries should be received no later than 23:59 on 23rd May 2018.

Winner: Our lucky winner will blog their experience and have their story published on the MyInterrail website and in an issue of The Silver Traveller, Silver Travel Advisor's magazine. All family stories that are entered will be reviewed by a panel of judges from the Rail Delivery Group and Silver Travel Advisor. The winner will be announced on 28th May 2018 at myinterrail.co.uk/competition.
