North Macedonia Railway Information
All domestic lines in the country are operated by Macedonian Railways (Makedonski Železnici, MŽ).
Train Service:
The main station in the country is in Skopje from which sveral connections to the rest of the country are available.
Domestic train connections:
Major domestic railway connections from Skopje are to:
- Tetovo, Gostivar and Kicevo in the west
- Volkovo in the northwest
- Kumanovo and Tabanovci in the north
- Sveti Nikole, Štip, and Kocani in the east
- Veles, Negotino and Gevgelija in the south - southeast
- Bogomila, Prilep and Bitola in the southwest.
- The main north - south line from Niš in Serbia to the port of Thessaloniki in Greece on the Aegean Sea (Corridor X), passes through Kumanovo, Skopje, Zelenikovo, Veles, Negotino, Demir Kapija, Miravci and Gevgelija.
International train connections:
Regular inercity train services connect various cities in the Republic of Macedonia to the following countries:
- Greece
- Serbia
